Merle West

Hi, I’m Merle West and along with being a wife, mom and nana, I have a passion for helping people to be the best they can be.

With Covid realities and the move away from live, activity-based training and coaching, my business has evolved too. During the down time, I converted face to face training to the online platform. Now, this was challenging because even online, my clients still deserve the best engagement possible while learning and practicing skills.

What sets me apart is my ability to engage learners in the skill building process. I am not a lecturer; I’m a facilitator. Facilitators make it easy for others to learn. I take full advantage of what technology has to offer to be sure there are no “bench sitters”; learners are fully engaged.

Many of my clients are individuals looking for a career change or advancement. Mid-sized to large corporations that are experiencing large, expensive staff turnovers or a drop in productivity can benefit from a respectful workplace re-fit.

My focus has been and continues to be in the area of Respectful Workplace Skills. Either through one-to-one professional development coaching or in a group setting online, we help you to develop skills to create and maintain cooperative working relationships.

One positive tool which acts as a great starting point, is taking a DISC Assessment to get a greater understanding of yourself, how you relate to others, personally and in a work setting, and shows you where you could use some development. The science-based assessments measure Behaviours (what you do), Motivators (why you do it), EQ (how aware you are about yourself and your awareness of the feelings and actions of others) or Competencies (how well developed you are on 25 transferrable skills.
